Six banks from around the world have signed a protocol of intent to issue their own currencykens secured by national currencies on the Blockchain World Wire (BWW) payment network, Cheddar portal reported this Monday referring to IBM Vice President Blockchain Initiatives Jesse Landa .
A joint initiative of IBM and Stellar BWW was announced in September 2018. According to the source, more than 44 banks have already connected to it, wishing to use the advantages of digital assets to carry out transactions between themselves.
🔽The number of project participants interested in issuing their own stablebcoins includes Brazilian Banco Bradesco, South Korean Bank Busan and Philippine Rizal Rizal Commercial Banking Corporation. The names of the remaining banks have not yet been disclosed, but it is known that they plan to provide their assets with euro and Indonesian rupees.
